Autumn Leaf Stamping
Leaf stamping in your nature journal is a fun way to capture the beauty of autumn. By using leaves as stamps, you can create unique patterns and textures. This activity allows you to express your creativity while documenting your nature experiences and applying what you've learned about categorizing leaves. It’s a wonderful way to blend art and education in your journal!
Collect fresh leaves and paint one side with acrylic or tempera paint.
Press the painted side of the leaf onto your paper or journal page. Press evenly; using a rolling pin or placing a paper towel on top of the leaf can help ensure an even print and reduce mess.
Lift the leaf to see your stamp and let it dry. If you’d like, outline the shape and details of your leaf with an ink pen for added definition.
