As autumn quickly approaches, it’s easy to overlook these final weeks of summer. That’s why I created a nature study designed to help you savor these remaining days of the season. While nature is already hinting at autumn's arrival, there's still plenty of summer to enjoy!
This study is meant for all ages and is meant for families to learn and enjoy together.

🌅 Summer Sky Exploration: Delve into the beauty of the summer sky. Learn about sunsets, clouds, and answer the question, "Why is the sky blue?" I've included some educational posters and information on the topic of Rayleigh scattering, the science of sunsets, the late summer sun, and a cloud guide.
✨ Firefly Investigation: Spend evenings catching fireflies and learning about the ecology of these luminescent insects. In this lesson you'll find an anatomy and life cycle poster, learn how to distinguish male fireflies from female, and make a firefly in a jar craft.
🐦 Summer Birding: Explore why birds tend to be quieter as summer wanes. Enjoy the subtleties of bird behavior during this time of year. I've included a birdsong guide, bird life cycle, types of nests, and tips for late summer birding.
