Seasonal Pond Study
My Seasonal Pond Nature Study builds on one of my oldest and most loved unit studies, the Pond Unit Study.
This expanded resource includes:
24 lessons, six for each season plus an introductory lesson on foundational ecological concepts
Printable materials such as educational posters, life cycle diagrams, and anatomy charts
Subject connections across language arts, social studies, math, and art
A simple guide to help you customize and explore each topic in a way that works for your family
The seasonal studies are thoughtfully planned and carefully curated to reflect the natural rhythms of pond life. My hope is that this study becomes a meaningful tradition for your family, a reason to return to the pond each season.
The suggested activities are simply a starting point. You are encouraged to follow your curiosity, adapt the lessons to your family’s needs, and incorporate your own seasonal traditions. Whether you are visiting the pond for the first time or returning year after year, this study is designed to support and inspire a lasting learning experience.
